From the racetrack to the wrist, the worlds of luxury watchmaking and high-performance motorcycles are colliding. Audacious collaborations see the fusing of mechanical mastery, design innovation, and pure adrenaline. These are limited-edition machines and timepieces that are as collectible as they are covetable. Let us start with:
CARL F. BUCHERER X HARLEY-DAVIDSON BLUE EDITION
The $1.8 Million collaboration from 2018 between Swiss watchmaking royalty Carl F. Bucherer and custom Harley-Davidson artisans Bündnerbike, sought to embody excess in watch and motorcycle form. They didn’t just build a bike—they shattered records and reimagined what luxury on two wheels could mean.

The Harley-Davidson Blue Edition is a one-off rolling sculpture that fuses haute horlogerie, fine jewellery, and custom engineering into the world’s most extravagant ride. It’s a marvel that sets three world records in a single package. It’s officially the world’s most expensive bike, the first motorcycle ever fitted with a manufacture watch and fine jewels, and the first to feature an engine illuminated from the inside. The project began with a Harley-Davidson Softail Slim S, but after 2,500 hours of meticulous handcrafting in the Swiss town of Maienfeld, the result is something that transcends its origins.
At the heart of the Blue Edition lies a special-edition Carl F. Bucherer Patravi TravelTec II, its dial echoing the design of a motorcycle engine. But this isn’t just a watch display—it’s a feat of engineering. Housed in a silicon-ringed cage that absorbs vibrations and doubles as a watch winder, the timepiece is protected inside a bulletproof, retractable glass safe embedded in the fuel tank. On the opposite side, another safe cradles a dazzling six-prong Heaven Solitaire ring set with a 5.4-carat diamond—because why not?
To achieve its mesmerizing blue hue, the entire bike was first silver-plated, then coated in six layers of colour using a proprietary process. Perhaps the most show-stopping feature though, is the 100PS engine, illuminated from within by heat-resistant LEDs—a world first. The effect is nothing short of spectacular, turning the heart of the bike into a glowing, mechanical jewel. This is a machine designed as much for admiration as for acceleration. This is what happens when Swiss precision, American muscle, and a taste for the extraordinary come together in one unforgettable creation.
