On the Bjäre Peninsula in northwestern Skåne, the sea, rolling landscapes and a light that seems to linger a little longer than anywhere else meet. Here are the seaside resorts Bastad or Torekov – but also another side: winding roads through farmland, vineyards, small farm shops and evenings with magical sunsets that never quite want to end.

THE SALT SEA. The scent of seaweed and rose hips. The sky slowly changing color over the Kattegat. On the Bjäre Peninsula, summer is more than a season – it's a feeling that stays with you long after you've left the place.
– It's like a new painting every day. The light, the sea, the tranquility. It's hard not to be moved. For me, this is Sweden's Riviera, says Therese Andersson, commercial manager at GRAM Group.

SEA, BEACH LIFE AND QUIET DAYS
At the far end of the Bjäre peninsula lies Torekov, a classic seaside resort with a character all its own. Here the pace is slower, the horizons are wider and the days follow their own rhythm. Along the coast, marinas await,
bathing jetties and beaches that attract both families and those looking for a quiet morning swim. A short boat ride from Torekov harbour is Halland's Väderö - one of Sweden's most species-rich nature reserves, surrounded by clear water and beautiful archipelago scenery. The tour boat runs several times daily during the season, making the island an easy and memorable excursion destination.

WHERE LAND MEETS SEA
When you leave the coast, another Bjäre begins. Here, fields, pastures and crops spread out between small farms and winding country roads. Asparagus, potatoes and other local produce are often sold directly from the farms.
In recent years, Bjäre Peninsula has emerged as one of Sweden's most interesting food destinations. With initiatives like Terra Skåne – a network of local vineyards – a new Swedish wine landscape has begun to take shape. Perhaps it's the combination that makes the place so special: Skåne agriculture, the presence of the sea and a lifestyle that brings to mind Tuscany – but only a few hours from home.
THREE HOTELS – THREE WAYS TO EXPERIENCE BJÄRE
Whether you are looking for a seaside holiday, a pulse or recovery, there is a place to land.
Hotel Riviera Beach Right by the sea, with one of Sweden's longest sandy beaches on the doorstep, is Hotel
Riviera Strand. Here, a relaxed holiday feel meets modern comfort – with spacious suites, balconies and terraces, a large pool area and plenty of space for both families and other active travelers.
Hotel Skansen
In the heart of Båstad lies Hotel Skansen, where history and the present meet since the beginning of the 20th century. Here you will find a spa, a cold bathhouse and restaurants with a view of the sea. During the summer, the town is filled with events such as
Summer On, The Aurora and Nordea Open – with international artists, world-class tennis and visitors from near and far.
Torekov Hotels
At the very tip of the peninsula lies Torekov Hotell – a personal hotel surrounded by sea, nature and tranquility. Here it is easy to slow down, with a spa, locally grown flavours and time for recovery. A bike ride away awaits Thora Vingård, where you can sample local wines and take part in tours.
A PLACE TO RETURN TO
Bjäre Peninsula is not just a summer destination. Hiking trails, bike tours, concerts and Norrviken's gardens await you here - all year round. It is a place for both movement and rest, for long conversations and your own thoughts. And perhaps that is precisely what makes so many people return: not just for everything there is to do, but for the feeling of being here.
