Since 2003, Tailor Store has refined the art of producing custom-made garments using advanced technology by offering a smarter, more affordable, more stylish and more comfortable alternative in the form of high-quality tailor-made garments with optimal fit and minimized climate impact as a bonus.
THE HISTORY OF TAILOR STORE was started in the early 2000s when Magnus Loodberg was in Sri Lanka to intern at an engineering firm. When he discovered the unbeatable quality of the tailor-made shirts sewn by the island's tailors, the seeds were planted for Tailor Store, based on the vision
to use the opportunities of digitalization to make tailor-made clothes with a perfect fit available to everyone.
– Our business concept is to deliver high-quality, tailor-made clothing with a perfect fit. The business, which began as a small-scale digital platform for tailor-made shirts, has today expanded into a business concept that challenges the traditional fashion industry in many ways, says Magnus Loodberg, Tailor Store's co-founder.
THE BUSINESS THAT BEGAN AS A SMALL DIGITAL PLATFORM FOR CUSTOMIZED SHIRTS HAS TODAY EXPANDED INTO A BUSINESS IDEA THAT CHALLENGES THE TRADITIONAL FASHION INDUSTRY IN MANY WAYS.

PERFECT FIT & RESOURCE-EFFICIENT PRODUCTION
At the heart of Tailor Store's business is its proprietary algorithm that enables it to create a perfect fit for each customer, without the customer needing to take out a tape measure, making it convenient for the customer to opt out of mass-produced clothing in standard sizes. By specifying weight, height and a few preferences regarding fit and design of the clothing, each individual can access tailor-made
garments with a quality that lasts, year after year. The rest is taken care of by Tailor Store's algorithm, which is based on over 20 years of collected data on body measurements and customer preferences.

RESOURCE EFFICIENCY IS REVOLUTIONIZING THE FASHION INDUSTRY
Tailor Store's business model is based on resource-efficient made-to-order, which means that every garment produced has been ordered by a customer. Tailor Store only produces garments that are actually used. In other words, the traditional fashion industry's problems with overproduction and waste do not exist in Tailor Store's world. The individual fit and unique quality of the garments also ensure a long lifespan, which in itself is sustainable. Tailor Store, which produces its clothes in two self-owned factories in Sri Lanka, is a
A pioneer in custom-made fashion that now delivers to large parts of the world.
– My experience is that customers who have once taken the step and ordered custom-made clothes rarely return to mass-produced alternatives, simply because the custom-made clothes have an unbeatable fit, quality and comfort that make them recurring favorites in the wardrobe, concludes Magnus Loodberg.
