Absolutely worth a trip to London is the magnificent The Cartier exhibition at the V&A in South Kensington. To complete the sparkling experience, we finish by ordering in a Diamond in The K Bar at The Kensington Hotel.
Cartier displays 350 objects here, from sparkling jewels, historical gemstones to iconic watches. A selection that shows how the house has developed since the turn of the century. Just think of something like the tiara being mandatory if you were going to a ball at the castle, and even to a ”regular” dinner. Here at the exhibition you will find a magnificent where the tiaras glittering in pursuit. Several of which were loaned by their owners.

Two personal favorites in the exhibition are Jackie Kennedy's Tank watch that she received as a gift after a hike in Palm Beach, as well as Grace Kelly's engagement ring, which we see here both on her hand in the film High Society, and for real. To really see the sparkle from several angles! Among the tiaras I am completely at a loss, at the same time as I realize that All fruits–the collection continues to be magnificent in its expression. And the panther – yes, I have always had a soft spot for him…

Enough praise, the exhibition is definitely worth a visit. We round off our experience with a drink at The K Bar, the hotel bar at The Kensington Hotel which also has an established collaboration with the V&A. For the Cartier exhibition, they have developed the drinks menu Hidden Gems with four cocktails.
The choice is easy, I order one Diamond – a pure and luxurious cocktail based on Beluga Gold Line Vodka or Champagne Cordial, served over a diamond-shaped ice cube. Elegant and delicate.
