However, the story doesn’t say what jewelry she will wear on stage.
The world's greatest artist
After four decades in the spotlight, countless hit songs, more than 230 million albums sold, and more Grammy statuettes than any other artist—32 to be exact!—Beyoncé is arguably the world's biggest artist. That's why it's a little funny to think that behind that tough and glittering facade lies a woman who was very shy and barely spoke as a child.
“The first decade of my life was spent dreaming,” he said. Beyoncé in an interview with the American magazine Harper's Bazaar some time ago. I was an introvert and didn't talk much as a child. I spent a lot of time in my head building up my imagination. I am now grateful for those shy years of silence. Being shy taught me empathy and gave me the ability to connect and relate to people. I am no longer shy, but I'm not sure I would dream as big as I do today if it weren't for those quiet years.
High demands early on
Beyoncé's stage career began at a young age. Already at the age of seven, she participated in dance and singing competitions. On stage, she felt safe. There she could live out her life, sing and dance. But when she was not on stage, she was still introverted and quiet.
– I was often the only black girl, and realized early on that I had to dance and sing twice as well. I had to have stage presence, humor and charm if I wanted to win.
Destiny's Child was formed when Beyoncé was nine years old with some childhood friends, initially the group was called Girl's Tyme. Beyoncé's father, Matthew Knowles, was the group's manager and continued to be Beyoncé's manager when she started her solo career with the hit album Dangerously in Love, which was released in 2003. Beyoncé has said that she had very high demands on herself as a teenager and that her father ruled her career with an iron fist.
– I worked hard to constantly improve and do the best I could. I didn't want to let myself down, because I couldn't let my family down after all the sacrifices they had made for me. That meant I was the most careful, professional teenager and I grew up quickly.

Control your own career
Beyoncé finally split from her father in 2011 and is now her own fierce businesswoman, alongside her husband, artist, producer and entrepreneur Jay-Z. At 27, Beyoncé started Parkwood Entertainment, which she describes as a multi-functional bad-ass conglomerate that is all in one: creative agency, record label, production company and management company. The goal is to be able to control her career and work on the projects that mean the most to her. Beyoncé hired strong women in key roles at the company, when most of the industry was still male-dominated.

Tiffany HardWear captures the elegant spirit that the New York woman personifies. Here in the form of a bold gold necklace, price 16,500 Euros. Also available in even more luxurious versions sprinkled with diamonds.
–In my company, art and creativity should come first. I want to be surrounded by a team that dares to challenge me while at the same time helping me realize my visions for the future. I have spent so many years trying to improve myself and what I have done that I have reached a point where I no longer need to compete with myself. I have no interest in looking back. The past is the past.
Beyoncé has been a celebrity for most of her life, but says she handles her celebrity status as best she can by keeping a low profile in private, carefully choosing what she shares publicly.
– I want the focus to be on my music, because if my art isn't strong or meaningful enough to keep people interested and inspired, then I'm in the wrong business. My music, my films, my art, my message – that should be enough.

Mother as a role model
Beyoncé rarely gives interviews and stays away from the paparazzi as best she can. The undersigned met her in London twenty years ago when she played opposite Mike Meyers in the Austin Powers film Goldmember. Back then, she was a very nice and accommodating but quiet girl with a wide smile, minimal makeup and large earrings, who sat curled up in a large armchair, dressed in a red velvet suit and talked about how her mother was her main role model, that it was fun to be in a film but that it is always the music that is most important to her, and how much music has always meant and always will mean to her.
Today Beyoncé sounds tough and strong-willed, but part of her is still the insecure quiet girl. She says she's pretty tough most of the time, but when the media started writing and speculating about the miscarriages she had before having children or when there was constant writing about her weight, it got tough.
3 QUICK BEYONCÉ LIKES… …training: Dancing, strength training and roller skating with her daughter Ivy Blue. …good food: “I've tried all kinds of diets, but I've given up on them. Nowadays I eat breakfast, lunch and dinner but keep an eye on the carbohydrates, avoid red meat and eat a lot of fruit and vegetables. On Sundays I allow myself something extra good and that's often pizza.” …honey: She has found healing properties in honey, which benefit her health. She has her own beekeeping with hives on the roof of her house.
– In this industry, so much of your life doesn't belong to you unless you fight for it. I've fought to protect my sanity and my privacy to have the quality of life I want. I want to show that you can have fun and have a purpose, be respectful and speak your mind. You can be both elegant and provocative. You can be curvy and still be a fashion icon. I wish everyone the freedom to dare to break the rules that need to be broken.
A good night's sleep
After years of performing on stage and suffering from sore feet from walking and dancing in stilettos, Beyoncé is now keen to take care of herself. She says she is careful about what she eats, always tries to get a good night's sleep, and unwinds with meditation, visualization, and breathing exercises.
– I look forward to everything I have left to experience and discover with my husband and children. I want the next decade to be about celebration, joy, and giving and receiving love. I want to give all the love I have to the people who love me back. I have done so much in 40 years that I just want to enjoy my life. It is hard to go against the grain, but being a small part of some of the overdue changes happening in the world feels very rewarding. I want to continue working to dismantle systemic imbalances. I want to continue to turn these industries upside down. I plan to create businesses outside of music. I have learned that I have to continue to look forward and to be the dreamer I have always been.
