Superstar Beyoncé kicks off her long-awaited world tour ”Renaissance World Tour” at Friends Arena in Stockholm. Fans from all over the world are traveling to Sweden to see Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter take the stage. We can expect a cavalcade of hit songs surrounded by a massive stage show and a truly extraordinary fashion show with many spectacular costume changes. There will be extra glam and glitter thanks to Beyoncé’s collaboration with the American jewelry giant Tiffany & Co.

After four decades in the spotlight, countless hit songs, more than 230 million albums sold, and more Grammy statuettes than any other artist—32 to be exact!—Beyoncé is arguably the world's biggest artist. Destiny's Child was formed when Beyoncé was nine years old with some childhood friends, initially the group was called Girl's Tyme. Beyoncé's father, Matthew Knowles, was the group's manager and continued to be Beyoncé's manager when she started her solo career with the hit album Dangerously in Love, which was released in 2003. At 27, Beyoncé started Parkwood Entertainment, which she describes as a multi-functional bad-ass conglomerate that is all in one: creative agency, record label, production company and management company. The goal is to be able to control her career and work on the projects that mean the most to her. Beyoncé hired strong women in key roles at the company, when most of the industry was still male-dominated.

Mother as a role model

Today Beyoncé sounds tough and strong-willed, but part of her is still the insecure quiet girl. She says she's pretty tough most of the time, but when the media started writing and speculating about the miscarriages she had before having children or when there was constant writing about her weight, it got tough.

A good night's sleep

After years of performing on stage and suffering from sore feet from walking and dancing in stilettos, Beyoncé is now keen to take care of herself. She says she is careful about what she eats, always tries to get a good night's sleep, and unwinds with meditation, visualization, and breathing exercises.

– I look forward to everything I have left to experience and discover with my husband and children. I want the next decade to be about celebration, joy, and giving and receiving love. I want to give all the love I have to the people who love me back. I have done so much in 40 years that I just want to enjoy my life.
