Last year, the hotel Villa Palladio opened in Jaipur in northwest India. A hotel that makes us see red and has been featured on the cover of both Condé Nast Traveller and Vogue Living. It is now also being recognised as one of the most exciting hotels by both the aforementioned Condé Nast Traveller and by Travel+Leisure.

It's almost like stepping into a theatre set where the colour palette has been limited to red and white, with a bit of mixing between them, and patterns of vegetation in the form of leaves and palm trees. Travel+Leisure magazine has included Villa Palladio among its list ”The 12 Most Over-the-top New Hotels in the World”. The aesthetic and concept have been developed by the owner Barbra Miolini, designer Marie-Anne Oudejans, and artist Vikas Soni. They describe the aesthetic as initially overwhelming but that after a while it becomes a restful break from the bustling city. They also recommend a spa treatment in the form of a ”grounding ritual”, but also just sitting for a while in the garden, which smells of both jasmine and hibiscus. The hotel is also included in Condé Nast Traveller's Hot List 2023.

A total of nine rooms are offered here, and the goal is to offer guests a place for dreams. Or as they themselves say – an opportunity to relive great simplicity. Once upon a time, the Silk Road passed through here, and there were also accommodations that offered food, shelter, and rest. Just like today's Villa Palladio Do it again, albeit in a slightly more limited colour palette.
