With a record number of over 15,000 visitors, a world premiere and cars never before shown in Northern Europe, The Aurora 2025 confirmed its position as Scandinavia's premier event in car culture and lifestyle.

With over 60 carefully selected cars from all over the world, the The Aurora to develop its unique format with two parallel concours exhibitions. One celebrated classic craftsmanship and the history of the car, while the other showcased the latest in hypercars and future technology.

The result was a weekend that seamlessly brought together past and future, aesthetics and innovation. The premiere of The Aurora Yacht Show focused on Scandinavian design and marine lifestyle, while the collaboration with Vogue Scandinavia, among others, created encounters between fashion, art and car culture. Through live interviews and curated experiences, The Aurora showed that a concours today can be something much more – open, experiential and relevant.

Koenigsegg World Premiere: Sadair's Spear

Koenigsegg chose The Aurora for the global premiere of its new track-focused model, Sadair's Spear. The car is sharper, lighter and more uncompromising than any previous model and has already set a new lap record at the Gotland Ring.

The name is taken from Christian von Koenigsegg father Jesko's favorite horse and for him the model is as personal as it is technically advanced. With up to 1,625 horsepower on E85 and significantly less weight than Jesko Attack showed Sadair's Spear what Koenigsegg means by innovation. All 30 examples were sold before the car was even shown in public – a clear sign of the brand's status and The Aurora's role as a global premiere stage.

The Aurora Showfield

Showfield brought together around 400 vehicles – everything from modified classics to rare supercars. It was a place where enthusiasts and collectors met, where the exclusive was juxtaposed with the personal. One of the most popular activities of the weekend was the autograph signing with Magnus Walker, which drew a large crowd. Showfield captured the full breadth of car culture – and the inclusive spirit that defines The Aurora.

The Aurora Talks

The Concours stage featured live interviews and panel discussions with some of the most influential figures in design, culture and motorsport. The program was hosted by JP Rathgen from Classic Driver and featured guests including Andrea Zagato, Rolls-Royce Chief Designer Domagoj Dukec, pole vaulting star Mondo Duplantis, HRH Princess Sofia and Christian and Halldora von Koenigsegg.

BMW Group at The Aurora

As the main partner of The Aurora, BMW Group offered a unique lineup: four Art Cars signed by Warhol, Calder, Lichtenstein and Koons, as well as unusual prototypes such as the X5 Le Mans V12, E46 M3 Touring, Z3 V12 Roadster and the legendary M8 from 1992. Rolls-Royce showed the electric Black Badge Spectre and MINI was painted live by the artist duo Mölllard. The street-legal superbike BMW M 1000 RR was also on display – with a whopping 218 horsepower.

JP Morgan Private Bank at The Aurora

JP Morgan Private Bank was present throughout the weekend, contributing both expertise and elegance. They hosted their own lounge in the VIP garden and invited guests to chat about the yachting lifestyle in Scandinavia. They also arranged Friday’s HyperCar Cocktail – an exclusive mingle for car owners, partners and guests. The lounge also featured a spectacular simulator from Roarington, designed by Zagato. JP Morgan has been in Sweden since 1973 and today helps clients and families achieve their long-term goals through personalized private banking.

The Aurora Tour

On Thursday, over 50 cars from the concours field gathered for a joint drive from Båstad to Mölle. The trip ended with a track drive, a factory visit to Koenigsegg and a midsummer dinner in true Swedish tradition.

The Aurora Yacht Show

An exclusive collection of boats from some of the world's most sought-after manufacturers was displayed in the harbor of Båstad. Behind the initiative were TJB Super Yachts, Princess Yachts Scandinavia, Dreamline Yachts Sweden and Goldfish.

Vogue Scandinavia Lounge

One of the year's new and most appreciated features was the Vogue Scandinavia Lounge. Led by editor-in-chief Martina Bonnier, conversations were held with guests such as Kelly Gale, F1 Academy driver Alba Hurup Larsen and jewelry designer Charlotte Lynggaard. A place for style, reflection and encounters between worlds.

Auction highlight – BMW Concept Speedtop

At Saturday's Black Tie dinner, over two million kronor was raised for Project Playground. Among the auctioned items was an award of the BMW Concept Speedtop – an extremely limited model of which only 70 will be built.

Fiat 500 Stefan Johansson Art Car

One of the most unexpected prizes of the weekend was the specially designed Fiat 500 art car created by former F1 driver and artist Stefan Johansson, which was raffled off among visitors during the closing ceremony.

The Aurora 2026

The next edition of The Aurora will take place June 26–28, 2026. Then Båstad will once again be transformed into Europe's most elegant meeting place for cars, people and ideas.
