Say a color as changeable as blue. Exquisitely elegant in its deepest shades and in combination with bronze or gold leaf.
It can equally well provide a playful touch or create a soft and nurturing atmosphere in the home. Right now, blue is seen in everything from trendy wall colors and sofa upholstery, to decorative glass objects and electrifying lighting.
Craving blue from floor to ceiling? Paint the walls and moldings, bring in a bright blue sofa and 50 shades of blue textiles. If, however, you don't feel like drowning everything in blue, a bright blue detail can be the thing to add excitement to an otherwise neutral room.
During this year's color-drenched design weeks, however, blue was far from the only color to take center stage. Trend spotters have reported green as the big color of 2023, apricot, red – yes, even red paired with blue. One thing is for sure: no one is yearning for white.
