THE F-PACE MODEL was presented in 2015 and was Jaguar's first SUV. Jaguar themselves like to call the model a "Performance crossover". And with this model, with the addition of SVR, it really is true - because that is exactly what Jaguar F-Pace SVR is. I have driven many of the competitors but still believe that the Jaguar F-Pace
The SVR does really well in its class.

The first thing that strikes you when you see the car is how neat and tidy it is. You have certain details that certainly reveal that this is something a little special and not an ordinary F-Pace. This is mainly about the four exhausts at the rear. In addition, there are of course other details that distinguish the car from its more low-key siblings. If you step into the car, you immediately feel a sense of well-being. Especially in the press car which was equipped with a black/white interior. This and that the car was painted in a cool red tone called Sanguinello orange does its job. I won't say how hard it will be to keep the interior clean, though.

The infotainment system, which is housed in an 11.4-inch touchscreen, has received a much-needed update from previous versions and works very well now. Of course, you can connect your iPhone or Android phone wirelessly to the system. In a new car, it takes a little time to get into everything and find all the functions.

But after a week with the Jaguar F-Pace SVR I feel that it mostly makes sense and I have control over the system. But then back to the engine, that lovely V8. A 5-liter V8 engine that is also equipped with a compressor. Total 550 horsepower and 700 Newton meters. You can go from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 4 seconds. If you choose to drive with the exhaust flaps closed, this engine does not make itself heard unnecessarily. But if you choose to open the flaps and change to the dynamic driving mode, the character of the car changes drastically. The cabin is filled with a pleasant sound if you now experience a V8 sound as such, which I do. Then the overall character of the car also changes to something sporty.

I have driven many sporty SUVs. Unfortunately, I find many of them too sporty and not particularly comfortable when you are just doing normal city driving or on a longer drive. This is actually Jaguar F-Pace SVR very good. It is both comfortable to drive everyday and incredibly comfortable for longer distances. The steering is very direct and you really feel what is happening on the road. But still not so that it becomes uncomfortable for longer trips, which can easily happen if the steering is too direct. So if economy is not the first thing you need to take into account when buying a car and you want a stylish, clean and really fast SUV that takes the whole family summer and winter where you are going. Yes, then you should take a closer look and book a test drive of the Jaguar F-Pace SVR.
