Since its launch in 1986, Sjöö Sandström been leading in the Swedish clock tradition.
The company is today one of the few Scandinavian watch brands in the luxury segment. With roots in Swedish craftsmanship and a passion for the mechanical, the company combines tradition with innovation. Sjöö Sandström now proudly presents the Royal Steel Chronograph. MOTIKON Edition.
The Royal Steel Chronograph 40mm was launched in spring 2025, marking a new chapter in Sjöö Sandström's history. A new expression of the model has now been introduced, developed in collaboration with the Swedish company MOTIKON.

MOTIKON is a rapidly growing Swedish company focused on creating and managing iconic car experiences. With a particular focus on classic and exclusive enthusiast cars. From iconic classics and hypercars to selected everyday favourites, they offer services such as sales, advice, curation, and restoration. Always with a passion for design, technology and history as their starting point. Through every car they handle, they unite engineering with lifestyle, in line with their philosophy:
Engineering: motoring icons and lifestyle. The companies are now united through this collaboration, founded on a mutual respect for precision, design and uncompromising craftsmanship.
The collaboration has resulted in two new versions of the Royal Steel Chronograph 40mm, with MOTIKON's characteristic turquoise colour, found on their logo, serving as the hallmark for both models. One model features a monochrome dial where the sub-dials are also turquoise, while the other combines the iconic colour on the dial with black sub-dials for a clear and contrasting expression. In both versions, MOTIKON's logo is discreetly engraved on the dial. Between 9 and 12 o'clock, the tachymetre scale has made way for MOTIKON's slogan: “Engineering: motoring icons and lifestyle”A design detail that not only gives the watch a unique expression, but also highlights MOTIKON's identity – a tribute to the company's philosophy of uniting iconic engineering with lifestyle and passion. The watch otherwise follows the same specifications and finish as the other models in the Royal Steel Chronograph Series, and is offered either with the newly developed 7-link steel bracelet or the black rubber strap with an hourglass pattern.
– The Royal Steel Chronograph has quickly become an obvious part of our collection, and we are pleased to now be able to present a new expression through the collaboration with MOTIKON. The turquoise dial adds character and identity, while the model retains its clear connection to our design language.. says Kristofer Johansson, a partner at Sjöö Sandström.

The core of this collaboration is simple: timeless design, uncompromising quality, and a shared passion for detail. Working together with Sjöö Sandström has been an inspiring journey, and we are incredibly proud of what we have created – both to wear it ourselves and to share it with others, says Filip Larsson, founder and CEO of MOTIKON.
