Released in 2022, Greubel Forsey’s Double Balancier Convexe occupies its own summit in the landscape of independent watchmaking – a masterclass in mechanical ingenuity and sculptural design. Encased in a 42.5 mm convex titanium case measuring 14.35mm thick and water-resistant to 100 metres, it delivers both architectural boldness and engineering precision in perfect equilibrium. 

At its heart lies Greubel Forsey’s patented double balance wheel system: two inclined balances set at 20 degrees, connected by a visible spherical differential that continually averages their rates to achieve exceptional chronometric stability. The result is timekeeping of rare consistency, enhanced by meticulous hand finishing and the Maison’s signature open-worked aesthetic. 

The hand-wound calibre GF10, comprising 374 components, offers a 72-hour power reserve and demonstrates Greubel Forsey’s obsessive pursuit of perfection. Crafted in natural titanium, the case glows with a soft, luminous grey, its alternating polished and satin-brushed surfaces creating a dynamic play of light that defines the Convexe line. The grained titanium mainplate, extraordinarily difficult to finish, and the hand-polished, black-mirrored balance bridges testify to a level of craftsmanship few can rival.
